Part 1:Prepare

Compared to the digitally advanced world that we live in, I feel that I'm not very technologically savvy compared to other people. I am capable of using generic uses of a Mac or PC. I also feel very confident using Office on the computer, for example, with creating powerpoints and using word. From learning at a young age to use them for school, I understand how to use them pretty well. I can also use Picasa at an adequate state. I am also very good at using gaming systems like the Wii and older ones like Nintendo 64. With having an older brother and playing with them for long periods of time, I got used to how they are used fairly quickly.
Since I know so little in technology, I would like to know and get better at a couple of things. One would be flash and video editing. During high school I took a Tech class for two years and used a video editing program. I was never that great at it, and I feel it's a pretty interesting tool to learn. In that same class we used different programs like Solid Works, which is a design software. Although I would not really have any beneficial gains to learning how to use it for the real world, it was just something I wasn't very good at, but would like to learn more about. Specifically, I would like to learn much more about camera software, like photoshop and video editing. I feel that overall those two might help me at some point in my life prepare me for an upcoming event, like a presentation.
