Digital Literacy: Integrating technology into schools, or schools integrated into new technology?

In this day in age, and the computer based society we all live in, computers are now being used much more in the school system. The author in the article seems to be focusing on what the school system should be doing. The article discusses how students outside of the classroom keep up with the technology, but if schools aren't keeping up with it, are they hindering students? Students have kept interest when it comes to computers, whether it's communicating to others or using the internet, but in school, teachers are losing kids' interests.
The internet gives off a way of learning that is completely opposite of what a traditional classroom offers. The next step after moving computers into the classrooms is to integrate new technologies. This is a problem, considering that students know much more about this than teachers. In this case, students will become the teachers. Combining different resources ,that in some way resemble students' web experiences, will allow teachers to maintain a relevance in the classroom experience to the outside world.
